Other additions and changes
-
New workplanes created on a face are positioned and sized according to the face. This affects the commands On Face, Project Geo, and Project Constr. This setting is active by default; you can return to the original behavior in the Workplane Settings dialog.
-
The new Intersection option in 2D CoPilot settings causes the CoPilot to snap to 3D geometry where
it intersects with the active workplane. This also works for the Point 3D CoPilot when you draw 3D curves. The Point 3D CoPilot snaps to 3D geometry and curves where they intersect with the currently plane.
-
Workplane and part settings are persistent, so the settings will not change from one session to another. You can also reset the settings by clicking on a Reset to Default button in these dialogs.
-
A new Expand setting in the Structure Browser settings controls whether or not each item type is
expanded when you expand its parent. For example, if you expand an assembly that
contains objects in a pseudo folder, the pseudo folder is also expanded. This
option only affects the behavior when you use the right-click Expand command,
and not when you expand an item using the + in the tree view.
-
When you use the Point 3D CoPilot to draw 3D curves, you can choose between cartesian coordinates or polar coordinates by right-clicking in the viewport.
-
Now you can set the default workplane size. Click Edit > Settings > Workplane Settings.
